Its name translates to “unusual,” and Insolito is unusual in the best way possible. This rum was inspired by Provence rosés.

All the expertise of our Master Blender, Cynthia Vargas, unchained to envision a single creation: a batch of limited bottles of our very best aged rums, firstly carbon filtered and then aged for an extra three years in a Solera of ex-tempranillo wine barrels. Finally, it is married with a core of our iconic Matusalem Gran Reserva 15 to create this unique rusty rosé rum.

Ron Matusalem has always viewed casks as being of the utmost importance when aging. Each of these imparts an impressive depth and body.

Insolito will take you on a breathtaking sensory journey. Even before you take your first sip, you will breathe in the sweet and smooth tasting notes:

AROMA: Notes of vanilla, woods and delicate fruits.
COLOR: Provence pink with gold and silver tones.
PALATE: Vanilla, butter, berries and licorice. A buttery finish with hints of toasted bread and berries in harmony with wine tannins’ remnants.
